As a result of my upcoming plans to travel I am looking for some destinations which are worth to visit. Well, there are to many of them and this is rather misfortune than a blessing.

Quote from my diary:
"Yesterday I enjoyed 300meters of wonderful Poland with Niko. Thank you for that great guiding!! I saw a lot of tobacconist’s and a chillin’ cat.
It reminded me of my first visit in Poland near Frankfurt Oder this summer. There is a festival in Kostrzyn everybody should join: “Woodstock Festival”. 500.000 “curva” yelling polish are dancing in the mud, celebrating youth and camping without borders."

Some days had passed and "Emma", the most sexy vehicle in the world, became my sleeping place for some great travel experiences. First I had to visit Nico and Sese in Hannover to take Emma with me. For all who didn’t visit them in Hannover but knowing them: It’s a pitty that you didn’t. They are great hosts.

It took five kilometers until the police stopped me and asked for papers I had to explain. It is not my car and not even reported in this part of Germany. The old T3 truck is a yellow old hippi ca with a sleeping roof attached. It took just five kilometers on the Autobahn to get in trouble with this appearance. Fortunately I still wear my suit from work cause I left in hurry to get the car from Hannover to Essen, catch Mithra and leave to Utrecht, Netherlands. All on the same day with a topspeed of 80 km/h.  My suit made me looking leliable. On the same parking where the police controlled me, I saw two hitch hiker asking for help. They joined me on the road, played guitar and tried to have a conversation with me in their starters English. But before we drove direction Essen I changed my clothes in front of the police. Afterwards I did not look reliable anymore and I am curious about their thoughts and how close they were to decide to stop me another time.  It was the first time for both to leave their country and it took them just one day to reach the border to the Netherlands. I tried my best to arrive in time in front of my door. They had no food and no money or time for a restaurant. As I packed my things they run into the supermarket. In the five minutes they had left, it was impossible to search for sales and as they arrived at my car their faces showed me how shocked they are about western European prices. They had to leave us at the border to the Netherlands. I told them not to camp next to the Autobahn and drove them to the next parking where they wanted to camp directly on the tarmac. I took their tent uphill to a clearing and said goodbye. On the next morning we woke up in Utrecht and I had several calls on my phone. My brother told me about an earthquake and asked if I am all right. I was. Emma is in such bad condition, that her vehicle dynamics are more intense than a 4,8 on the magnitude scale. I guess my polish friends felt the eruption in their sleeping bags. They did not send me an email after their trip, hopefully they did not die in this wood.

PS.: Ula & Lukasz are still alive! After a few months they send me a mail.

The Netherlands are great. More relaxing than Germany will ever be. Mithra told me about a nice little island. We took the T3 and headed to this part of Holland. As we arrived we were confronted with an entry. Although it was not expensive we discussed the plan. The island seemed to be without any vegetation. I doubt that we will enjoy this more than the already nice surrounding. Instead of taking the ferry we walked through the village and enjoyed the coastline. Driving through Holland is fun enough.

Utrecht was a big surprise. Mithra told me about it’s beauty but it was overwhelming how gorgeous this place actually really is. If you travel to Amsterdam you should spend at least one day in this nearby pearl. You have to visit “Cafè Belgie” with over 200 sorts of beer where I met two of the funniest people you can meet in search for company. A train conductor and his ongoing smiling friend who invited us to the "Appelpop Festiva"l but unfortunately we hadn’t enough time to visit them there as we came back from our trip to the coast. Please hug them for me if you meet them and I guess you take a look into “Café België” you will see them. One sits in the corner and smiles. One will be to talk active to ignore him.

As our time in Holland end, we planned to stop a last time, in Groeningen which is pretty close to the German border. I missed the junction and recognized a different environment. Suddenly the surrounding cars were fast and you I had the feeling to be an obstacle on the road. As soon as I recognized that we already passed the border I took the next exit and we had a pause on a field. As we tried to leave I had to pass by some elderly people. We talked to me through the window.

"You have to take the next right and you will be there."

"Where?" I got a bit confused about her proposal.

"At the Potato Festival. You do not know the Potato Festival?"

She was really upset about the fact that we just wander around instead of visiting the feast. This must be the best potatoes festival on earth, I thought. Of course we stopped there. Beside every delicious potatoes meal Mithra and me could by "Federweisser", a kind of odd wine. People looked strange at us. We weren¡t just strangers, Mithras roots are in Iran. That is gossip for the villager soul.
